Undercover Superhero Strength Training

(1-1 or class) All levels

Are you like Diana Prince or Clark Kent always ready to whip into action to save others? Let your inner superhero support you too! Through traditional resistance/weight training and task oriented movements that involve pushing, pulling, squatting and twisting, this 30 min workout will challenge to be your own hero!

We’ll train movement rather than muscles, incorporating strength, flexibility, agility and balance and so that you can feel strong and resilient with the ability to feel and be at your personal best! From this place, you can be of maximum service to others. Perfect for all levels as we can design modify the workout to help you achieve your particular wellness or fitness goals.

Let's HIIT It (High Intensity Interval Training)

(1-1 and class) Intermediate/Advanced

Torch those calories in this workout! We'll use functional movements and traditional weight training combined with intervals of cardio and active rest for this high intensity fat burning cardio experience. Fast and fun moves from African and Hip Hop can be added for added movement flavor.

Afro Cardio Jam

(1-1 or class) All levels

This fun, interactive and high energy dance class is geared towards adult movers new to African dance. All participants will be introduced to the energy, style and movements of the African continent while building mind/body awareness, cardiovascular strength and connection to community.

"Smooth Moves Gold”

(Strength Training for older adults) All levels

Carrying and putting away groceries, tying shoes, picking up something that has fallen, etc. These are tasks that we may take for granted- until we get older.

In this class, breath, postural awareness, flexibility along with core strengthening exercises will be used to create an understanding of the value of movement and stillness as they relate to activities of daily living so that we can have move with greater freedom, independence and ease.

Smooth Moves Yoga

(1-1 or class) All levels

A fusion of Pilates and yoga. In this 30 min class, breath, postural awareness, and core strengthening exercises will be fueled by a yogic understanding of the value of the balance of power between stillness and movement and how this balance will enable you to accomplish your fitness goals.

Mrs. Red Fox’s Ballet Explorers

(Group class) For kids

Come explore a world of adventure and magic led by Mrs. Red Fox! Using storytelling and basic ballet terminology, young children are invited to learn about their bodies, the value of movement and stillness. motor coordination and musicality, while creating new experiences through our imagination. This class focuses on getting kids active and having fun while fostering self discovery, teamwork, peer motivation and community with others.

Movement and Expression

(Group class) For kids

This class focuses on how movement plus music becomes dance. Bodily positions, musicality, and uses of weight are explored while fostering self discovery, collaborative skills, risk taking and making connections between different topics, themes, and areas of learning. Students are physically active throughout class sessions practicing improvisational skills, developing technical skills, working in small groups in order to create an original dance pieces.
