Mission Statement
Artist’s mission statement
“Double Dutch meets Martha Graham meets African dance meets beatboxing” best describes the eclectic alchemy at the core of my work—where dance, theater, music, and digital media intertwine. But those are just containers. Words. Images. They are not the viscera that fill them.
To understand the pulse of my process, you must watch children. Frustrating. Nonlinear. Captivating. And eventually, so wise. Children are the heart of my artistic momentum.
Teaching them demands alertness, humility, and a deep reverence for imagination as the ruling vehicle. I aim to transcend judgment, fear, linear narratives, and the tired trifecta of beginning, middle, and end. I reject the binary of good or bad. In its place, I choose curiosity, chaos, and clarity—often in the same breath.
From this space, I build. I dance. I tell stories. I invite spontaneity to rise, allowing myself and my collaborators to hold on or let go. To begin again with fresh eyes, every single time.
